Round cake of
Pu Erh tea from the Xishuangbanna region in the Yunnan province of
China. Presented in its original packaging, it consists of several
compressed layers of black Pu Erh. To prepare this tea, break
or crumble off the quantity of tea required for infusion and place
it in a teapot or Zhong. Next, pour freshly boiled water over the
tea and infuse as normal.
During the
infusion, the leaves will gradually separate and release their
aromas. Like all Pu Erh teas, Qi Zi Bing Cha is characterised by
woody, damp notes, reminiscent of moss, undergrowth and earth …It
features a very harmonious and round note, supported by a more
mineral fragrance.
Allowing the
tea to infuse for 5 minutes will further develop the tea’s animal
character (leather). Slightly sweet, the liquor is smooth and
supple; its woody-liquorice note is particularly long in the
mouth.
With its
unusual appearance, this tea will seduce Pu Er enthusiasts, thanks
to the mildness of its aromas.
